Solita’s 2023 in review: Strong performance and forward momentum

Solita achieved strong financial results in 2023 and continued to expand both its services and geographical presence despite a more challenging economic environment. The company also received several recognitions for its humane corporate culture and a record-breaking number of job applications. The company now employs approximately 2,100 digital transformation professionals in 9 countries in Europe.

Solita, a leading technology, data, and design company operating in nine European countries, achieved strong performance in 2023 and is poised for continued growth and momentum in 2024. Solita’s pro forma revenues in 2023 were €237 million, resulting in healthy double-digit organic growth. The company saw the strongest growth in its data, AI, and cloud-driven operations.

Over the past few years, Solita has grown to become the largest data consultancy in Northern Europe, employing over 700 data and AI professionals. In addition to data and AI services, Solita offers design and strategy consulting, software development, cloud, and integration services. The company’s customers include leading companies such as Colruyt Group, Kone, S Group and Pfizer, and public organisations such as NATO, Public Housing Sweden, and The Danish Environmental Protection Agency, to name a few.

Solita’s 2023 highlights

  • Expansion to Poland. Solita joined forces with Future Mind, an award-winning mobile, digital, and e-commerce solutions company.
  • Geographical expansion. The company also expanded its reach to Norway and opened new locations in Malmö (Sweden), Ghent (Belgium), Munich and Berlin (Germany) during the year.
  • Employee satisfaction. Achieved a record-high Employee Net Promoter Score of 77, placing Solita among the top 5% of technology companies in Europe (source: Peakon).
  • Employee shareholders. Welcomed new employee investors taking the company to almost 700 employee shareholders.
  • Generative AI. In May 2023, Solita founded a new Generative AI Studio to lead the development and transition to new, AI-powered ways of working.
  • Recognition for workplace excellence. Solita received several awards for its exceptional commitment to humane, modern workplace development and company culture, including:

  • Technology partner recognitions. Solita received several recognitions from its technology partners, including the Microsoft Azure specialization in AI and Machine Learning, and the Google Cloud Infrastructure Specialization.
  • Employer brand strength. Received over 33,000 job applications and welcomed 465 new employees in 2023, including several returning Solitans.
  • Brand unification. In Denmark, Commentor A/S rebranded as Solita A/S. Intellishore continues under its original name.

Looking ahead – starting 2024 positively

2024 has kicked off successfully for Solita, with many positive developments. Financially, the company continued to achieve solid double-digit organic growth. Year-to-date, Solita has recruited approximately 200 professionals. Despite the challenging environment, Solita sees the market gradually starting to pick up towards the second half of the year and expects a strong year.

During January – April 2024:

  • Expansion to Switzerland. Opened a new location in Zurich.
  • Generative AI investments and projects. Augmented the Gen AI Studio with a Generative AI Lab and initiated groundbreaking projects, including the Gen AI Twin with ISS. Solita continued to deliver innovative AI solutions for clients like Social Insurance Institution Kela, NATO, and Outokumpu.
  • Sustainability commitment. Released our first comprehensive Sustainability Report, highlighting our commitment to responsible business, people, and environmental sustainability.
  • Solita Retail launch. Formed an international knowledge unit to support business development and key customers, such as Colruyt Group, S Group, Synoptik, and Readly. Additionally, Solita has domain expert teams for the Public Sector, Health, Industrial, Defence & Security and Mobility domains.
  • Recognition by Google and Microsoft. Solita received recognition as the Google Cloud Sales Partner of the Year in Finland and was selected as a Microsoft Responsible AI Center partner in Stockholm.
  • Recognition as a great employer. Received recognition as a Diverse Workplace and a Health-promoting Workplace.
