Technology, data, and design company Solita has signed a SEK 2.7 billion framework agreement with Inera, along with seven other players. The contract will cover the majority of Inera’s services, including key national services such as the 1177 (1177 Care Guide). The agreement will extend over several years.

Inera is owned by the Local Authorities, the Regions, and SKR Företag in Sweden and has a mandate to create foundations for digitalising welfare by providing the owners with a common digital infrastructure and architecture. Inera has selected Solita as one of the companies that will be involved in the development and management of the company’s applications over the next few years.

“We are pleased and proud to win a framework agreement with such an important customer as Inera and the 1177 Healthcare guide, whose services touch so many people’s lives. For us at Solita, it is important to contribute to a better society, and we invest a lot in health and well-being”, said Per Torell, Business Manager at Solita AB.

“Solita Health has vast and proven expertise in this area, including for example the national coronavirus app and digital health services in Finland, and digital services for social welfare, healthcare and oral health. Recent Finnish national applications and software like The Covid-19 tracing application and Omaolo services were created together by Solita for the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) and DigiFinland. It was a great success, and that was one of the reasons we won this contract with Inera. We are participating in PhD level research initiatives to help develop agile software development in regulated environments (RegOps)“, added Risto Kaikkonen, Director of Solita Health.

“We are very happy to win the contract and get to prove our innovativeness. For the last years, Solita has been growing fast in the health sector. I am proud of our team who have worked hard to achieve this. We look forward to contributing to Inera’s digitalisation journey”, said Johan Thyblad, Country Director for Solita AB.

Solita’s public sector clients include, for example, the Swedish Board of Health and Welfare, Public Housing Sweden, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Finnish Parliament, DigiFinland, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL), Finnish Medical Agency (FIMEA) and clients in specialist and general health care.
