Solita’s position in Universum’s annual employer survey has steadily improved. In 2023, the company ranked 12th in the Most Attractive Employers survey for IT professionals.
“At Solita, people and a human-centered approach have been at the core of our operations since the company’s founding, and years of systematic work on company culture and employer branding are certainly reflected in these results. We want to be pioneers in terms of company culture and people’s well-being,” said Timo Honko, Solita’s Country Manager for Finland.
According to the survey, the most important qualities for IT professionals in an employer were supporting work-life balance, leaders who support employee development, and respect for people.
Solita continues international growth
Despite the economic downturn, Solita has continued to grow and internationalize. Founded in Tampere in 1996, the company has grown into a technology company with over 2,100 employees, operating in nine countries. Last year, the number of applicants to Solita exceeded 27,000.
In 2023, Solita received several recognitions for good employer practices and was selected as the third-best workplace for women in technology globally in the Women in Tech Global Awards competition.

The top IT employers in 2024 included Microsoft, Google and the Finnish Defence Forces. The results of Universum’s Finland’s Most Attractive Employers 2024 survey were announced at a virtual gala event on September 17, 2024.
Universum’s professionals survey had 8,605 respondents from 48 industries. The respondents represent 36 professional groups. The survey was conducted between October 2023 and June 2024.
